Sunflower kernels

The production technology includes preliminary multistage cleaning, separation of admixtures and sorting. The dehulled sunflower kernels are separated from the shell and then through a gravity-separator enters the colour sorting machine which ensures the necessary purity of the final product.

Colour: Grayish-white to light grey
Kernel size: 2,300 – 2,800 seeds in 100 g of product
Taste Typical, fresh, non-rancid, free of foreign smells

Package:  According to client’s requirements and specifications with net weight between 5 kg and 25 kg in three-ply paper bags, as well as Big Bags with net weight up to 1000 kg.

Labeling: According to client’s requirements and the Ordinance on the requirements for labeling and presentation of foods.

The technology and equipment we use ensure high quality final product with very low percentage of broken kernels in the shelled seeds. As a result the sunflower chips obtained from the production is of limited amounts.

Oil powder

A portion of broken seeds separated during the sunflower seed dehulling process that consists primarily of finely ground sunflower kernel particles and small quantities of fine shells. It has a high oil contents within the range of 48-52%. It’s packed in Big Bags.

Sunflower husk

Sunflower husk

The sunflower seed shelling process separates mechanically the husk from the kernel. The sunflower husk is a byproduct containing fibers and residual vegetable oils from the kernel. It’s used as fodder in livestock breeding, as well as for direct burning in solid fuel boilers for heating or for production of pellets – an eco-friendly and cheap fuel. The company has its own warehouse storage facility and is able to handle quickly big volumes for transportation.

TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT

Simple acquisition and collection of the relevant machinery and components is not sufficient for producing a quality product. Our product and the technology applied incorporate our aspiration to provide our clients with quality and security. 

Our production line is the result of the joint efforts of a team of designers and technologists with the active cooperation of the manufacturer of the technological equipment.

The key issues in the production process are as follows:

  • Control of the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the input raw materials;
  • Storage of the sunflower seeds in metal conical silos with constant temperature control;
  • Automated feeding of the raw material;
  • Pre-cleaning of the sunflower seeds;
  • Powerful air suction chamber removing fine dust and small impurities;
  • Multiple-screen calibration machine with its own aspiration and large sifting surface;
  • Buffer capacities for the different fractions;
  • Stone separator with touchscreen control and memory;
  • Reliable dehulling machine;
  • Conveyor belts and Z-elevators protecting the shelled product;
  • Gravity separator with a large air blast surface;
  • Four-channel contemporary colour sorter;
  • The most up-to-date electronic metal separator extremely sensitive to ferrous and non-ferromagnetic metals;
  • Automated packing machine with a capacity for filling of 5 to 50 kg bags and Big Bags of up to 1000 kg;
  • Last generation double needle sewing machine;
  • Automated PLC control of the overall process and the individual machines with constant diagnostics and signaling;
  • Multistage quality control of the production;

HACCP

Procedures have been developed based on the HACCP system (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points). The observance of such procedures in the foods production cycle is aimed at eliminating biological and chemical hazards for humans by preventing their occurrence.

The seven principles of a HACCP System are: 

  • Hazards Analysis;
  • Identification of Critical Control Points;
  • Establishment of critical limits of the given indicators which must be observed;
  • Establishment of a CCP control system through monitoring;
  • Establishment of corrective actions when monitoring shows that a certain CCP is out of control;
  • Establishment of procedures verifying the ability of CCP control measures to lead to the planned results;
  • Implementation of documentation comprising procedures and records regarding CCP and hazard analysis.

We have started a procedure for the system certification by an independent controlling body.
